Rural residents to continue receiving home mail delivery

Canada Post says rural residents with individual roadside mailboxes will continue receiving home mail delivery for the foreseeable future and are not included in its current conversion plan. The Crown corporation recently announced that about four million addresses will be shifted to community mailboxes over the next five years, while some post offices will also be phased out. Canada Post said approximately 700,000 rural homes, representing about four per cent of the 17.8 million addresses it serves, will see no immediate changes.
