Budget 2026 pre-budget submissions due April 30 to FINA

The House of Commons Finance committee (FINA) launched its annual pre-budget consultations process. With the new fall budgeting cycle, the deadline for submitting written briefs through the committee’s website is Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

“These consultations are a critical part of the committee’s mandate, allowing committee members to hear and discuss the federal spending priorities of Canadians and their visions for our country,” Liberal MP Karina Gould, committee chair, said in a press release.

The Rural Prosperity Group will make a submission, reiterating the need for a rural lens on all public policies.
